  My journey with fundraising began years ago, fueled by a desire to give back to the charities that support our frontline heroes and those facing their toughest battles. Whether it’s through the Firefighters Charity, Help for Heroes, or Cancer Research UK, I believe in the power of community to make a tangible difference.   Over the years, I’ve pushed my limits—from endurance challenges in full fire kit and gas masks to bringing smiles to faces through cosplay. But for me, the mission is personal.   A Personal Mission   The drive behind my work comes from the people I’ve loved and lost:   My Wife: Six years ago, I lost my wife to lung cancer. Her battle taught me the vital importance of early detection and the need for better treatment options.   My Father: Last year, my father passed away from prostate cancer, further reinforcing my commitment to raising awareness for men’s health and family support services.   Why I Do It   I don’t just raise funds; I raise awareness. Behind every statistic is a family, a child, or a colleague whose life has been upended.
